Open Position
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
As an RBT, you’ll work directly with children and families, helping them develop essential life skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by a Behavior Analyst
- Support skill development in communication, social interaction, and daily living
- Track client progress and provide feedback to the clinical team
- Help create positive, meaningful learning experiences

Understanding the Work We Do
At Ho‘okele ABA, we use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in building important everyday skills. ABA is a science focused on understanding behavior and helping individuals develop skills such as communication, social interaction, and daily living.
Autism is a form of neurodiversity that presents differently in every individual. Each child has unique strengths, challenges, and ways of engaging with the world. Some may benefit from support with communication, social connection, routines, or adapting to new experiences.
As a Registered Behavior Technician, you’ll help create meaningful opportunities for growth, connection, and independence through supportive, engaging, and individualized care.
How to Get Started
You don’t need prior experience to begin, only a willingness to learn and a passion for helping others.
Step 1: Complete 40-Hour Training

Step 2: Competency Assessment
We’ll help you build and assess the skills needed for the role.
Step 3: Pass the RBT Exam
We provide preparation and support. Travel expenses for testing may be reimbursed.

Requirements
What You’ll Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a background check
A background in education or healthcare is helpful but not required.
